Mark Ryan Jackson —
Mark was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in Danville, California. It was in Danville where Don and Mark's friendship began at the young age of 7. Mark graduated from the San Francisco California Culinary Academy in 1999. Shortly thereafter, he opened a catering company & bistro in Northern California. After selling his business in 2003, he began his career in finance as a mortgage banker with the Royal Bank of Canada. Mark established his name in the builder market as a mortgage planner working closely with first time home buyers and home builders. He has personally helped thousands of buyers achieve their goal of home ownership. Mark co-founded the retail and broker divisions of Level Financial to establish a niche in mobile home lending where he strives positively towards a clearly different brand of quality.
Donald L. Popkes II
Donald was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Danville, California. He graduated from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo with a Bachelors degree in Economics. Don entered the Professional Development Program at Merrill Lynch where he was a Financial Advisor with a Certified Financial Manager distinction including Series 7 and 66 licenses. He then joined Smith Barney's Global Markets Group in Los Angeles where Don was responsible for all tailored lending including short-term lines of credit, term debt, working capital, and commercial real estate finance. Don has personally managed private client assets in excess of $50 million. Level Financial was founded as the next step in Dons career to create a niche in traditionally overlooked financing opportunities including hard money and distressed real estate investments.
